The NCP today expressed confidence that P.A Sangma will opt out of the Presidential polls and extend support to UPA nominee Pranab Mukherjee. NCP General Secretary D P Tripathi told reporters in New Delhi that the party have full faith in Sangma that he will fulfil the promise of abiding by the party decision and support the UPA candidate.

Last week, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar had advised Sangma to withdraw from the Presidential race.
