Nationalist Congress Party, NCP, on Tuesday demanded setting up of a new State Reorganisation Commission. Briefing media persons in New Delhi, Party General Secretary, Mr D P Tripathy said that all issues relating to the creation of new states can be sorted by this commission. <br/><br/>He said, his party is supporting the demand of creation of Vidarbha state in Maharashtra and Purvanchal state in UP and Bihar. Regarding the rise in prices of essential commodities, Mr Tripathy said, it is the joint responsibility of the cabinet and the Agriculture Minister cannot solely be held resposible for that and called for strict action against the hoarders. He said, increase in sugar prices is caused due to the paucity of production of sugar in the country.
