NCP, Congress to remain united in upcoming Maha Assembly elections: Pawar

Union Agriculture Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar has said that a nominee for the Presidential polls scheduled in July this year, should be preferred from non-political background.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a girls' hostel in New Mumbai on Sunday, Mr. Pawar said that the ruling alliance of Congress and NCP in Maharashtra, will remain united for the upcoming Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. He said that friction between Congress and NCP after the Zilla Parishad and municipal corporation elections in the state, would not affect the stability of the ruling coalition government in the state.
