NCP-Congress differences delay government formation in Maharashtra

The differences over allocation of portfolios between the NCP and Congress are delaying the formation of government in Maharashtra. Senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar said in Mumbai on Tuesday that the portfolios should be shared according to the 1999 formula. AIR Correspondent reports that the NCP has threatened to extend outside support to new government instead of joining it, if Congress is not ready for the 1999 formula. <br/>
