In Tamil Nadu, The Vice Chairperson of National Commission for Minorities, Atif Rasheed has appreciated the state for being a pioneer in working for the uplift of minorities in educational, social and economic sectors.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Speaking to media on his two day visit to Chennai, he said that the State Government had utilised 100 percent financial target for unique scholarship and had formed a dedicated IT cell to address issues being faced by the minority students.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He said that Prime Minister's 15 point program was implemented in the State.&nbsp; He pointed out that the Centre had given Rs. Four thousand 812 lakh worth of financial assistance was given to minority communities benefitting more than eight thousand families.</span><br />
