NBWs against absconding Maruti union leaders; Mahapanchayat demands CBI inquiry

The Haryana Police has acquired non-bailable arrest warrants against 12 absconding Union leaders of Maruti Suzuki who could not be traced till now. The police also produced the five arrested people in the court yesterday and succeeded in getting six day custody of Union leader Yogesh Kumar for interrogation till July 27. He was one of the five workers arrested on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Mahapanchayat of 50 villages situated around Maruti Suzuki's Manesar plant on Monday, demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident instead of the Special Investigation Team of the state police. The economy of these villages is largely dependent on the plant.
