Naxals kill a police constable in Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha region

In Maharashtra, a police constable was killed and a civilian was injured by a group of armed Naxalites in Jarawandi area of the Naxal-hit Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha region this morning.According to police, the constable was attached to the Jarawandi Police Station and he was fired at by the armed Naxal group while returning to the village after attending a function in the nearby area. A civilian identified as Vilas Kumre also received two bullet injuries in the same firing incident. He is presently undergoing treatment at the Gadchiroli Civil Hospital and said to be out of danger. The search operations are on in this regard.
