In Chhattisgarh, Naxalites are reported to have abducted the district Collector of the newly formed Sukma district this evening. However there is no official confirmation of the incident as yet. AIR Correspondent quoting sources says, Collector Alex Paul Menon was returning from an official programme when motor-cycle borne Maoists abducted him from near Majhipara between Gadiras and Kerlapal of Sukma district in south Chhattisgarh. The naxalites are also said to have killed two guards accompanying the Collector and took him took him away to the jungle.
