In Chhattisgarh, naxalites fired at about 5 CRPF camps in the Dantewada district last night. The CRPF Jawans also retaliated the attack. There are however no reports of any casualties during these incident which lasted for about 2 hours. Following this, all CRPF camps across the area have been put on high alert.

Even as the deadliest-ever Naxal-attack on the CRPF personnels in the Chintalnar area of the Dantewada district of Chhattisggarh continues to remain green in the public memory, the naxalites struck again at about five CRPF camps in the same naxal-wearied district last night.

However, the jawans posted in these separate camps at Chintaguufa, Veji, Pollampalli, Errabore and Kankerlanka returned fire which precluded any causlaties.Yet the police does not risk taking these incidents lying down in the manner of being once beaten , twice shy.

Accordingly, the CRPF camps across the state have been put on high alert to avert any Chintalnar-like history being repeated.

Experts however string together these separate but simultaneous firings leading to the belief that these incidents are in the order of a psychological warfare mounted by the naxalites to keep building pressure on the police personnels.

They had also made their presence felt by similar gun-shots which resounded in the jungles of Chntalnar, during the visit of the Rammohan team a couple of days back enquiring into the Dantewada naxal attack. Meanwhile the naxalites killed a villager of Matwada in the adjacent Bijapur district of the state last night suspecting him to be a police informer.
