Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Naxalism has no base in Punjab and State Police is keeping close eye on isolated incidents meant to foment terrorism or naxalism in the State. <br/><br/> Talking to the media after inaugurating a Railway Over Bridge at Bathinda he said that naxalism is borne out of economic deprivation and Punjab does not offer any such case to build naxalites’ its movement in the state. He said that Punjab government is fully committed to protect the life and properties of people of the State and would not allow terrorism or naxalism to raise its ugly head.
