The new CRPF Director General K Vijay Kumar has hinted at possible structural changes in the paramilitary force to take on the challenge posed by naxals. He said that a combination of both military and police training is required for the troops.Kumar took over the reins of the country's largest paramilitary force from Vikram Srivastava. He was talking to newsmen in New Delhi on Wednesday after taking charge.He also said that the best practices of earlier such operations which he had handled would be taken into account while making new strategies for the force.This includes his stint as the chief of the Special Task Force which eliminated Veerappan in 2004. 58-year old Kumar, an IPS officer of 1975 batch Tamil Nadu cadre, said it would take some time for him to brush up on the present deployment and strategies of the force.
