The Home Ministry has strongly condemned the naxal attack on the National Mineral Development Corporation . Describing the attack as unprovoked and heinous, the Home Ministry has sought to know the motive behind the ambush on a police force that provides security to NMDC. <br/><br/> 4 CISF pesonnel were killed and two others critically injured in a landmine blast in the mining area of the Corporation in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh yesterday.<br/><br/> Pointing out that a Public Sector Undertaking engaged in the development of minerals gives employment to thousands of people and promotes welfare and economic activities, the Ministry has sought to know the message that the CPI(Maoist) intends to convey.The Government statement has also sought replies from those who speak on behalf of the naxals and chastise the government. The statement calls upon all the right thinking citizens who believe in democracy and development to condemn such acts of violence.
