The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister has convened an all-party meeting on the Naxal issue in Raipur today. At the meeting, Dr Raman Singh is likely to seek suggestions from leaders of all political parties on the Naxal issue and and brief them on the law and order situation in the state. The Chief Minister will also inform them about steps taken by the government after the Bastar attack which claimed 29 lives including senior Congress leaders.
The Congress has decided to boycott the meeting. Party spokesperson Bhakta Charan Das said in New Delhi that the Chhattisgarh Congress Legislature Party and state unit of the party have decided to boycott the meeting
