Southern Naval Command, Commander-in-Chief Vice Admiral AR Karve, said that Navy will take all necessary steps to co-ordinate the rescue and relief operations as the cyclonic storm is moving towards Lakshadweep coast. <br/><br/>Briefing media at Kochi, he said that the Naval Ships and Aircrafts are kept ready for speedy evacuation and providing relief materials to affected people. He further informed that relief materials including medicines, water and other things are loaded in the ships in anticipation.<br/><br/>Yesterday the Navy sent five ships and two aircrafts to Thiruvananthapuram for rescue and relief operations. The Naval Force is kept in full alert to face any eventualities, he said.
