Navy to set up NBC Defence training facility soon

The Navy is setting up a Nuclear, Biological and chemical defence training facility to develop the skills of its personnel in fighting such deadly attacks during conventional war or by terror groups.<br/><br/>The Navy has issued a Request for Information ahead of issuing a global tender for setting up of the shore-based facility with simulators modeled on ships for creating near-real scenarios for training the personnel. <br/><br/>The simulator would be built on a steel structure resembling a ship, outfitted with systems and equipment for training personnel in achieving collective NBC protection through closing down, pre-wetting systems and platform decontamination.<br/><br/>Navy officers said in New Delhi that the facility would make training as realistic as possible. <br/>
