The Central Bureau of Investigation has conducted raids in Visakhapatnam on Monday and taken into custody two persons and seized some important documents and computer hardware from an Institute offering coaching to aspirants vying for clerical posts in the Defence Ministry. AIR correspondent reports, the raid has been undertaken in Visakhapatnam as a follow up of evidence collected in the Mumbai raids on Sunday where the CBI sleuths have unearthed the question paper leak scam involving two Administrative officials from Western and Eastern Naval commands along with an instructor from Haryana. A cash of Rs. 19 lakh has also been seized from the Institute’s Head, Mr. R.S. Rawat’s residence and office here according to CBI DIG, Nageswara Rao. An examination was conducted for 175 Lower Division Clerical posts on Monday in Mumbai. The Defence Ministry has however, cancelled the exam and announced that a fresh date would be intimated later.
