The second sail training ship of the Indian Navy, INS Sudarshani was commissioned at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi on Friday.
Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of the Southern Naval Command, Vice Admiral K N Sushil commissioned the vessel.
The Ship, built by the Goa Shipyard, can sail up to 20 days with its complement of five officers, 31 sailors and 30 cadets. She will join the First Training Squadron, based at Kochi .
The Commissioning of the INS Sudarshani was a low-key affair, in view of the demise of Kerala Governor M O H Farook in Chennai last night.
