In Lakshadweep, a two day coastal exercise, began this morning. The exercise is coordinated by the Southern Naval Command and the Coast Guard District Headquarters based at Kavaratti.

Units from the armed forces, Coast Guard, India Reserve Battalion, Port Authorities and Lakshadweep Police are taking part in the exercise.The objectve of exercise is to test the coastal security preparedness .
