BJP MP Navjot Singh Siddhu today resigned from the Rajya Sabha. He was nominated to the Upper House in April this year. <br/><br/>Deputy Chairman P J Kurien announced in the House that his resignation has been accepted. <br/><br/>Mr. Siddhu's resignation came amid speculation that the Cricketer turned politician may join Aam Aadmi Party in view of upcoming assembly elections in Punjab. <br/><br/>He has been critical of Akali Dal – BJP government in the state and he was reportedly upset with his own party.
