Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu today resigned from the BJP. The resignation of Mr Sidhu came days after he launched a new political front Awaaz-e-Punjab. <br/><br/>Sidhu had resigned as a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha in July this year. He had announced that Awaaz-e-Punjab will contest in all 117 Assembly seats in the Punjab elections scheduled to be held early next year.
