Former Rajya Sabha MP Navjot Singh Sidhu today said he resigned from upper house of the parliament as he was asked by his party to stay away from Punjab. Addressing media in New Delhi, the former cricketer said he wants to serve Punjab and Amritsar. Mr Sidhu claimed that he would not betray his state. Mr Sidhu, however, remained silent on joining of any political party.
