There has been a clash between ships from the rival navies of North and South Korea. According to military officials in Seoul said, a South Korean warship fired a shot at a North Korean vessel which crossed the demarcation line off the two countries' western coast. The North Korean ship returned fire. The sources said, the North Korean ship was seriously damaged, before it sailed back into its territorial waters, but the South reported no injuries. However, there has so far been no comment on the incident from North Korea.
