Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president, Naveen Patnaik, has said the UPA government at Centre is neglecting Odisha on all fronts. Addressing party workers at the 14th foundation day of BJD at Bhubaneswar today, he said, the Centre is declaring special packages for calamities-hit states, while Odisha has been deliberately overlooked. Stating that farmers of Odisha have been severely affected by the untimely rains during the first week of this December, the Chief Minister said he has already apprised about the grim situation to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar. He expected the Centre will declare a special pacakge for farmers of Odisha soon.
