Rear Admiral Surendra Ahuja, Assistant Controller Carrier Project and Assistant Controller Warship Production and Acquisition has said that an indigenously designed naval warship with a capability of carrying 34 state-of-the-art helicopters would be inducted to the Indian Navy in 2018.<br/><br/>Speaking to newspersons after reviewing the parade held at INS Rajali, Arakkonam,today, he said that young people who have joined the naval force should be vigilant and work with dedication. <br/><br/>He told that the Navy had submitted a proposal to the Government to build a new ship which would be capable of carrying 18 aircrafts on board. <br/><br/>He also said that another ship would be built with the capacity to carry 54 fighter crafts on board.<br/> <br/>The Rear Admiral said that already 8 Poseidon aircrafts were guarding the Indian waters and four more of the same would be inducted in future.<br/><br/>Eleven naval cadets and five coast guard cadets have completed the 22 week helicopter training course at the Naval Airbase.
