In Afghanistan a NATO helicopter crashed in eastern Afghanistan today. A news release issued by International Joint Command in Kabul says, as the coalition rescue forces were approaching the crash site, they came under enemy fire. Coalition forces returned fire, with small arms, while working to secure the site of the crash. All passengers and crew members of the crashed helicopter are safe and have been transported to a nearby base. An inquiry is on to determine further facts.
