NATO Foreign Ministers meet Tommorrow

Afghanistan will be on the agenda of discussion when NATO foreign ministers meet in Estonian capital of Tallinn from tomorrow. <br/><br/>The two -day meeting will discuss the transition of security responsibility to Afghan police and army as well as the political situation in the wider region. <br/><br/>Briefing journalists on the meeting, NATO senior civilian representative to Afghanistan Mark Sedwill said that a strategy will be worked out to hand over security responsibility to Afghan forces within 3 to 5 year, as stipulated in the inaugural address of Afghan President Hamid Karzai. <br/><br/>Mr. Sedwill said the meeting will also discuss the possibility of regional countries framework for finding a long-term solution to Afghan problem. He said that international community supports the peace process of Afghan government and a grand meeting of tribal leaders next month may prove crucial in this regard.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the dates for the peace jirga has been delayed until late May because of clashes in the Afghan president's upcoming visit to United states. The Jirga was earlier scheduled to be held from May 2nd but has been extended till late May.<br/>
