The Afghan Police and the Army with the assistance of NATO Coalition forces, killed eight armed insurgents in different operations in Kapisa, Baghlan, Balkh, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni and Khost provinces over the past 24 hours.A press release issued by the Afghan interior ministry says, 38 armed insurgents were also arrested and arms and ammunitions were seized from them.In southern Kandhar city, a suicide bomber targeted a security company convoy on Monday, killing 3 persons including two security guards and injuring 20 others.
