The fourth National Senior Women Hockey Championship began in Bhopal today. The matches are being played in two phases in the tournament.

In the starting match played at Major Dhyanchand sports complex this morning, Bengal Hockey Association defeated Vidharbha Hockey Association by 3-0.

Thirty two teams from all over the country are expected to participate in the championship. The final will be played on the 23rd of this month. The tournament is being organized in Bhopal for the second time.
