On Day 4 of the 35th National Games at Thiruvananthapuram yesterday, Haryana continued to reign supreme in Wrestling, as they bagged 5 Gold to sign off with a whopping 18 yellow metals. Among the winners were, Rajendra Kumar in the 59 kg Greco-Roman category, Amit Dhankar in the 70 kg freestyle and Priyanka in 53kg freestyle category.With this, Haryana overtook two-time defending champions Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) at the top of the medals table.Haryana is now at the top with 21 Gold, 8 Silver and 4 Bronze. SSCB is second with 21 Gold, 5 Silver and 9 Bronze. Maharashtratook is third with 14 Gold, 18 Silver and 14 Bronze. Haryana dominated wrestling, Services ruled shooting. London Olympics silver-medallist Vijay Kumar emerged on top in both the team and individual 25m centre fire pistol events. Vijay combined with Gurpreet Singh and Omkar Singh to ensure a numero uno finish for SSCB in the 25m standard pistol men's team competition.Among other Gold medalists were Saurav Ghosal and Joshana Chinappa who walked away with individual gold medals in Squash.
