Karnataka swimmer Aaron Agnel D'Souza smashed his own national record in the 100 metres freestyle event in the 65th Senior National Aquatics Championships which ended in Ranchi on Sunday.D'Souza clocked 51:15 seconds to win the gold in the event. In all, D'Souza bagged seven gold and helped Karnataka finish at the top with a total of 43 medals — 23 gold, 11 silver and nine bronze. Karnataka emerged as the champion in the overall medal standing. RSPB pushed the Police team to third place bagging 18 medals — five gold, seven silver and six bronze. The Police team finished third with five gold, five silver and three bronzeTamil Nadu secured three gold medals, two silver and four bronze medals to finish at fourth position.
