In the 12th Senior National Women Boxing Championships in Bhopal, Suman and Neetu Chahal of Haryana, Mandkini Chann of All India Police, Meena Rani of Railways Sports Promotion Board, Kavita Goyat of Delhi and Jenny RL of Mizoram clinched gold in their respective categories. Suman defeated Sonia Lather Singh 10-9 in the final of 54 kilogram Bantam category, Mandkini Chann beat Pwilao Basumatary of Assam 21-11 in Feather 57 kilogram category while Jenny RL defeated Memthoi Devi of Manipur 17.9 in Welter weight category.
