National Security Advisor Shiv Shanker Menon today called on the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa . Mr Menon, in his one-to-one meetings with the Sri Lankan leader has expressed India's concerns over the slow pace of devolution process and underlines the reconciliation issue and need for genuine political settlement of the Tamil question.
NSA has also had crucial meetings with Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa . Later in the afternoon , he is likely to meet the TNA leader R Sampanthan. He is also expected to meet the Indian media this evening before flying back to India .
Mr Menon, who arrived late last night aboard a special aircraft, is accompanied by the Joint Secretary (BSM) Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Director (BSM).
