Tomorrow is national science day. This day is celebrated to mark Raman Effect by Indian physicist C V Raman. On the occasion of Science day, Apurva Jakhdi, space educator at NASA while talking to AIR has expressed her feelings about budgetary provision centre has made in the field of science and technology in the budget 2022-23.<br />”<br />”She said, budgetary provision of rupees 14, 217 crores for science and technology in this year’s budget is low considering the size and population density.<br />”<br />”At the same time, she says that, this also shows the government gives importance to science and technology since it is a tool for technological development in the country and it reflects the vision in the budget.<br />”<br />”Ms Jakhdi further said that, budget should encourage and support basic researches in pure sciences, astronomy and astrophysics, life sciences, bio technology, genetic science and engineering. School and college education should be strengthened to attract more talent in the science field, she added.<br />”<br />”Ms Jakhdi expects the centre should set up universities to provide world-class quality and universal education with more and more attractive schemes for funding potential students. <br />”<br />”<br />”<br />
