Six eminent people have been conferred National Award on the occasion of National Science Day in various categories at a function in New Delhi on Tuesday. The awards were given to them by Minister of State for Science and Technology, Ashwani Kumar, for their outstanding contribution in the field of Science and Technology Communication. Mr N.S Chidambaram and Arpan Dutta were selected for their efforts in this field through their books and magazine.

While Mr V.T Santhosh Kumar received the award for translation of popular Science and Technology literature in various languages. Dr Balram Sahu and K.K Vasu were also given awards for their contribution in this field.
