In Kerala, the 61st National School Athletic championship kick starts today at Olympian Rahman Stadium, at Kozhikode. More than 2500 students from all over India participate in the event. The torch rally, began from Thrikkottur UP School, where Olympian P T Usha began her sports journey, concluded at the Olympian Rahman Stadium. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the meet in the evening. State Education and School Games Federation of India officials will participate in the inaugural function. The valedictory session of the games will be held on 2nd February.
