Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has warned that all those opposed to the national reconciliation programme of his government will repent, if there is a war in the future. <br/><br/>He said, the reconciliation programme has the objective of building peace and harmony among all the communities in the country and to prevent the recurrence of a war. Mr. Sirisena said that he needs the support of all for building national reconciliation in the country. <br/><br/>The President's comments came as joint opposition MPs led by former President Mahindra Rajapakse have helped stall the process of new constitution formation in the country and rallied to the Sinhala Buddhists, thus making reconciliation difficult. Tamil National Alliance, which had promised improved rights and position for ethnic Tamils, is getting disillusioned with the process and has called for foreign intervention.
