Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, P.P. Chaudhary has said that National Policy on Software Products under consideration by the Government has the potential to synergise the efforts of the Government and the Industry to create a robust software product industry. <br/><br/>Speaking during an interaction with IT Industry stalwarts in Bengaluru today, the minister asked Industry leaders to give their feedback on the draft policy. The Industry representatives sought the Minister's attention to the disparity in incentives under STPI scheme and the Special Economic Zone.<br/><br/> Assuring them of all help, the minister also announced all support for the development of Information Technology Investment Region to be set up in Bengaluru with assistance from Central Government. The Union Minister later addressed a workshop for women in Science and Engineering held in Indian Institute of Science.
