The National Lok Adalat held on Saturday in the high courts and other courts in the country settled over one lakh pre-litigation and pending cases. The fifth Lok Adalat, held by National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), disposed off various matters, particularly those relating to public utilities.<br/><br/>According to a NALSA statement, more than 93,000 pre- litigation cases and over 26,000 pending cases were settled in 26 States and Union Territories. Besides, the parties were able to arrive at final settlements worth more than 65 crore rupees across the country.
