A national-level school fire and evacuation drill is being organized across the country today. It aims to create fire safety awareness among the school staff and students.

One school in each district of the country has been selected for this programme called, One Day One Time. Students and school staff are participating in different parts of the country.

The drills are being jointly organized by fire Cell of Directorate General of Civil Defence and State fire services. AIR correspondent reports that this exercise was started last year across the country and it got enormous response.
