National leaders join electioneering: Campaigning in full swing in Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal

Campaigning for Assembly elections gains momentum in Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haryana. Major political parties have started hectic campaigning for the state assembly polls in Arunachal Pradesh. Door to door campaigning by candidates has also picked up.The low key campaign for the October 13 Assembly elections in Maharashtra is expected to accelerate in the coming week with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and national leaders of other political parties commencing their tour to woo the electorate with just a week left for the polls.In Haryana, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi sought a second term for the ruling Congress in the name of development, peace and security. Addressing her first election rally for the State Assembly elections in Karnal today, she claimed that Haryana had witnessed unprecedented and unimaginable development under the Congress government in the last five years.
