In Uttar Pradesh, 28th National Junior Athletic Championship concluded in Lucknow today. The five day event which began on 27th October in Guru Govind Singh Sports College, Lucknow, was declared closed by Union Coal Minister, Shriprakash Jaisawal. AIR correspndent reports reports that 2200 athletes from 26 states participated in 125 events of this edition of the national junior athletic championship. Kerala emerged victorious with overall team championship title. It also bagged the best overall female team championship award, whereas Haryana won the title of overall male team championship award. The event witnessed the breaking of 14 national records and 35 meet records. Rajendra Kumar Bind of Uttar Pradesh won the title of best athlete.
