Supreme Court has refused to quash criminal proceedings against Congress President Sonia and Vice President Rahul Gandhi in National Herald case. A bench of Justices JS Khehar and C. Nagappan said the trial proceedings should continue and all accused can raise their opposition during framing of charges. The apex court however exempted the two leaders from personal appearance before trial court in the case.
