In the 35th National Games being held in Kerala, India's pride Olympian Vijayakumar of Services struck gold in the 25 metre Centre fire pistol event, with 583 points, at the shooting range in Thiruvananthapuram today. Samaresh Jung of Himachal Pradesh won silver medal and Tamang Pemba of Services secured bronze.In the 2012 London Olympics,Vijayakumar had won silver medal in the 25 metre Fire Rapid Pistol event.The country honored Vijayakumar with Arjuna award in 2007 and highest award Khel Ratna in 2012.
