At the 35th national games being held in Kerala, Services continues to top the medals tally with 55 gold medals,16 silver medals and 19 bronze, followed by Haryana in the second position with 28 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 11 bronze medals. Maharashtra is in the third place with 27 gold medals, 40 silver medals and 34 bronze medals. Hosts Kerala is in the fourth position with 21 gold medals, 24 silver medals and 29 bronze medals. Madhya Pradesh is in the fifth spot with 18 gold medals 13 silver medals and 26 bronze medals.Inderjeet Singh of Haryana won gold in men's shot put while Satendra Singh of Uttar Pradesh won silver. Ankit Sharma of Madhya Pradesh won gold in men's long jump. Navjit Kaur of Punjab won gold medal in women's shot put. Sarita Singh of Odisha won gold in women's hammer throw. Monika Chaudhary of Uttar Pradesh won gold in women's 1500 metre run, while Sini Markose of Kerala won silver medal.In athletics,final in 11 events will take place today. In women's football,Manipur won gold defeating defending champion Odisha 5-3 in a penalty shoot-out.
