In the 35th National Games being held in Kerala, Meenathi Sethi of Odisha today won gold in women's weightlifting 58 kilogram category. Harjeet Kaur of Haryana got silver. Haryana, with seven gold medals tops the medals tally. Madhya Pradesh with two gold, one silver and four bronze medals is in the second spot, while hosts Kerala with two gold and one silver is in the third position.In the swimming events, finals in six categories will take place this afternoon. In the rowing competitions being held at the backwaters of Alappuzha, finals of four events will take place this evening. In Archery, five Olympians will vie for top honours. Former World number one Deepika Kumari, Bombyala Devi, Pranitha Vardhini, Mangal Singh Chambya and Taran Deeprai will be seen in action today.
