National Games: Maharashtra Netball player dies of cardiac arrest

Tragedy struck the ongoing National Games as a 21-year-old net ball player from Maharashtra died today following cardiac arrest. Mayurish Pawar collapsed after training due to a massive cardiac arrest and was declared dead by doctors at a nearby private hospital today, according to National Games Secretariat (NSG) officials in Thiruvananthapuram. He was on his way back to the room after a practice session at the indoor stadium at Vellayani along with his other team members. He suddenly collapsed and the others rushed him to the hospital. But, doctors declared him dead, a NGS official said. The dead body would be handed over to the team and family members after a post mortem.
