Promising youngster Arundhati Pantawante and rising star R M V Guru Sai Dutt have clinched the singles titles in the badminton competition of the 34th National Games. In the Women's Singles final, Nagpur girl Arundhati defeated Kerala's P C Thulasi 14-21, 21-17, 21-15 in a close encounter.In the men's singles summit clash, Guru Sai of Andhra Pradesh overcame Karnataka's Aditya Prakash, also in three games, 16-21, 21-10, 21-18 to win the gold. The Andhra duo of Jyotshna Polavarapu and Nelakurthi Sikkireddy clinched the women's doubles title beating Maharashtra's Sampada Sahasrabuddhe and Pradnya 21-16, 21-18. Alwin Francis and Arun Vishnu Sivaraj Anrevamm of Kerala beat Maharashtra's Jishanu and Akshay 21-12, 26-24 for the men's title.
