National Federation of the Blind has objected to the proposed GST rates on assistive devices, special equipment and Braille papers. Federation's General Secretary SK Rungta submitted a memorandum to Finance Minister Arun Jataily demanding that these items should continue in the list of zero GST items. The federation representatives also met Social Justice Minister Thaawar Chand Gehlot over the issue.
