National Federation of Blind on Saturday announced withdrawing of their ongoing agitation for clearing the backlog in recruitment of physically handicapped persons in government jobs. In a statement, the secretary of the federation Mr S K Rungta said that government has agreed to undertake a special recruitment drive for clearing the backlogs. Mr Rungta said that the Department of Personnel and Training has issued an order for PSUs to to fill vacant posts under the 3 per cent quota for physically handicapped by 15th July 2010.
