A National Emergency Response System is soon to be launched in the country. It seeks to connect police with the citizens. The proposed system will also include ambulance and fire brigade services. Minister of State for Home Haribhai P. Chaudhary stated this in the Lok Sabha today. He said it will be funded and implemented by the Centre in association with the States and Union Territories.
